No. Creating an account only requires basic contact information. There's no admissions review, no essay, and no transcript submission for Standalone Courses.
Yes. If you later formally apply to and are admitted into a Gracelyn degree program, credit earned through Standalone Courses applies toward that program. Up to 45 credit hours can apply toward an Associate degree, and up to 90 credit hours can apply toward a Bachelor's degree.
Real courses. You join the same Canvas course as our degree-seeking students, taught by the same instructors, on the same 8-week term calendar — not a self-paced or watered-down version.
You can withdraw for a full refund within the first 3 days of class. After that window closes, the course is not refundable and cannot be dropped.
Undergraduate coursework taken this way is capped at 90 credit hours — 45 if you're working toward an Associate degree, 90 toward a Bachelor's. Once you reach your cap, continuing requires a formal degree application.
No. Course prerequisites listed in the catalog aren't enforced for Standalone Courses — you can start with any course that interests you.
